For those contemplating taking kids on an outventure, we humbly offer some tips for improving the odds of success.  You know their temperaments and interests, how much sleep they need, and what foods they love and despise.  Use this knowledge to your advantage.

In order to be comfortable, and most importantly, safe, it is especially important we outfit our kids with proper equipment.

Understanding the age, ability, and attentiveness of the younger set helps ensure they are not only having fun, but that they are doing so safely.  Paying attention to minimizing physical, mental, or emotional discomfort does not, however, mean kids cannot or should not be taken on adventures which tire them out physically and expose them to challenges.
