What is the best system for storage and organization of our gear when car camping? We have a very simple answer: Stack-able bins with lids. Use these bins to store and organize your camping gear for an enjoyable experience not only during your camping trip, but before and after the trip as well.
CAR CAMPING STORAGE & ORGANIZATION
Bins Organize and Store Camping Equipment for an Easy Exit
Organizing and storing camping equipment in stack-able bins with lids helps get you out the door faster, and more often. How? Because nearly everything you will need in camp is already organized. For instance, we dedicate multiple bins to kitchen needs. One is stocked with paper and plastic goods, dry seasonings and spices, and other small items. Another contains cooking equipment, and we have another which gets packed with non-perishable foods. Do this with as much of your camping gear as possible.
Used in this way, bins make it super easy to make sure you have what you need as you pack up for your camping adventure.
Bins For an Easy Set Up and a Tidy Campsite
Stack-able bins make it easier and quicker to load and unload your vehicle, and set up and break down camp. Place kitchen bins on or under the picnic table. With lids on, things stay clean and dry. Similarly, keep other gear and equipment stowed in bins until needed. This will result in a more organized campsite. Further, put any emptied bins to good use once you get set up.
Re-purpose these bins to stay organized and keep the mess in check. A load of firewood stacked in a bin keeps the inside of your vehicle clean, so grab an empty bin. Need a place for dirty clothes? A bin might just do the trick. Wet towels and clothes need to be transported? You got it – a bin will prevent the inside of your vehicle from smelling like a wet dog. Simply put, bins both organize and keep your things from hanging around loose either in your campsite, your tent, or your vehicle.
Bins For a Quick Take Down and Departure
Done with your trip and its time to pack up? Bins make breaking camp go much more quickly. Everything has a place, so just stow things back in their bins and quickly load them into the vehicle. At home, remove perishable food items and anything else borrowed from home, and then sit back and smile. Your dedicated camping gear is organized and efficiently stored, just waiting for your next car camping adventure.
