Overview

If you enjoy riding fast, flowy cross country trails with beautiful scenery (and who doesn’t?), the Maston trail system is for you.  The system offers fantastic views of the Cascades, as well as top notch riding through the high desert accentuated with Junipers and wild Sage.  The trails are all beginner, except the Rockbar Trail which is an intermediate trail offering some fun rock gardens and cliff side riding along the canyon above the Deschutes River.

The Maston system offers great riding for all.  Beginners will have little difficulty riding the mostly flat trails, while experts can ride the system at full tilt.  The system offers enough trail for fast expert riders to ride full out for 2-3 hours without repeating the same trails, except for making some trail connections.  Beginners and intermediates can easily put together a full day of fun.

The system is most popular during the non-summer months, due to the sandiness and heat of the dry summer months, although early morning summer rides can still be excellent.  We highly recommend this system.  It is a favorite of ours.
